Hello. l'm Becky (aka Beppy Art), a Glasgow-based artist. I often work in mixed media, using paint, inks and pens and leaving process marks in my work to show how it has come together.
I'm inspired by impressionism and traditional watercolour illustration of Ghibli and Disney, as well as the wild, expressionist work of Quentin Blake.
I try to capture the feel and character of a place, often preferring to create quirky and curious illustrations rather than grand or ‘posh’ paintings. I like to create artworks that feel as though they have an interesting story behind them, and as though the viewer could walk right into the frame and find themselves on a fun adventure.
I also love to I draw and write sweary greetings cards (which you can buy here).
Oh - and if you're wondering about the name, my niece used to call me 'Beppy' before she could say 'Becky'. It kinda stuck.
